Instantly recognisable by its two dramatically different halves &#8211; a curvilinear grip section colliding unceremoniously with a clinical metal tail &#8211; no other manufacturer had anything quite like it. Beyond the patent documentation, I have found little more than the odd snippet in old archived magazines, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/details\/schoner-wohnen-1964-10\/page\/214\/mode\/2up?q=tekagraph\">this advertisement<\/a> from 1964. It looks a bit flimsy &#8211; basically a single blade lead pointer rotated by a small electric motor driving a plastic gear &#8211; but still something I feel that I need to have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/graphography.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/faber-castell_52-30_tekasharp_battery_pointer_01-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/graphography.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/faber-castell_52-30_tekasharp_battery_pointer_01-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-416\" srcset=\"https:\/\/graphography.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/faber-castell_52-30_tekasharp_battery_pointer_01-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/graphography.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/faber-castell_52-30_tekasharp_battery_pointer_01-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/graphography.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/faber-castell_52-30_tekasharp_battery_pointer_01-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/graphography.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/faber-castell_52-30_tekasharp_battery_pointer_01-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/graphography.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/faber-castell_52-30_tekasharp_battery_pointer_01-2048x1365.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Tekagraph was available in both black and green versions, some with the lead grade imprinted at the end of the plastic section. Mostly they were supplied in a minimal plastic sleeve, but I have seen the odd <a href=\"https:\/\/pbs.twimg.com\/media\/FhcGNfxagAAEpst?format=jpg&amp;name=4096x4096\">boxed example<\/a>.
